With up to 100 metres of diameter coverage under suitable operating conditions, this rain gun sprinkler is ideal for farmers who need to irrigate large fields while reducing the frequency of moving sprinkler equipment. Long-range rain guns are commonly used for crop irrigation, pasture, lawns, orchards and dust suppression.
The sprinkler uses pressurized water to produce a powerful jet that rotates across the irrigation area, distributing water over a broad circular pattern. Depending on the specific model, water pressure, nozzle size and flow rate, the actual spray distance can vary significantly. Some 100m-class models specify working pressures around 3–8 bar, with interchangeable nozzles and aluminum-alloy or stainless-steel construction.
For best results, pair the rain gun with a suitable high-pressure irrigation pump and adequate water supply. A 100m-rated rain gun should not be expected to reach its maximum coverage when operated below its required pressure or flow rate.
